Elchenburg Castle
Available for your event!
Pre-dawn at Elchenburg castle.

You shiver in the early chill, knowing you are going to have to storm this formidable edifice soon enough. Although your army may take the castle, there will surely be much death and gore. The defenders are staunch and grim, knowing that this day may well be their, or your, last.
Sound like fun? Believe me when I tell you it is. You too can do this. Our facility is located on a 65 acre farm in Boonville, North Carolina. You do not have to be a castle stormer, medieval re-enactor, or care one iota about gory battles from times of old.
We are able to host almost any type of gathering of any size or type. You may want to have a family reunion. You can fit a pretty big family on 65+ acres. Want to have a wedding to remember? How about a campout where the camper of choice is a vintage VW bus?

Naturists may want to look for a slightly more secluded area, although we do have places far from the eye of passing folks.
Sound interesting? Come along and take a quick tour. Of course, the main feature is Elchenburg castle, situated on a 30 acre field.

I know what you're thinking. OK, there's a field to play on but what about a place to maybe wash up or take care of some basic human needs? We anticipated this issue as well. How about showers and other necessities in a quaint farmhouse overlooking the pond? Oh yeah I forgot to mention the 3 acre pond. Here's some shots of the farmhouse and the pond.

So after a day of recreating, fighting, re-unioning, parading, whatever your event may be wouldn't it be nice to be able to sit down to dinner with over 50 of your closest friends? You don't want to sit in the middle of the field, well maybe you do, but most folks like to be under cover in case a little of that rare North Carolina precipitation should decide to liven up your evening. Don't worry, we've got you covered, literally.

“So what else might there be?” you could ask. One of my favorite camping spots, not far from the farmhouse, big field, and feasting cover with a view of the pond perhaps? My very favorite camping spot I won't divulge here, simply because I have some very fond memories of it ;^) But the really good one is here:

Maybe you need a break from the family, some quiet time, or a tryst? Can do. We have secluded spots for just such occasions. You don't need to follow the Yellow Brick Road, just one of the trails wending off into the nowhere.
